Habitat for Humanity

North Hi Mount Mentors
AHUMC will begin a new mentoring program with North Hi Mount Elementary School later this year. We will partner with North Hi Mount through the KidsHopeUSA mentoring model. This award winning program gives us the tools to create relationships that work: one caring adult with one at-risk child for one hour a week, every week. If you are interested in being a mentor (or a prayer partner for a mentor/child match), please contact Linda Allen. Training will be provided to all involved and Linda will provide on-going assistance and guidance as the Program Director. You can find out more about the program model at KidsHopeUSA.org
CONFERENCE
Red Bird Mission Trip--Oct. 3-9
The deadline is May 15 for this first-time mission trip to the Red Bird Mission Conference in Kentucky. Join the CTC adult team this fall to assist with construction needs and possibly education and community outreach. Participants will be asked to attend one planning meeting/team orientation from 3 to 5pm Saturday, Aug. 29, at Acton UMC.
